A typical day in Tenerife, Spain...

➨ Discover your wanderlust and get in shape while you're in Tenerife. After a restful night at your private flat, you can join an intensive beach bootcamp. Let Steve Coster motivate you and begin the day in top shape. During the beach bootcamps, you will meet other like-minded people who will inspire and help you to get through the workout with ease. You will quickly get to know the various advantages of a sports sessions on the beach. Above all, you will not only get fit with this exhausting workout, but you will most certainly also have a lot of fun with the other athletes.

After enjoying a healthy breakfast, you can do an intensive 1: 1 workout with your personal trainer, Steve, at your desired time and work on your individual goals. After that, if you feel like some more training, you can just join one or two more classes:  One of them is Krav Maga, a style of martial arts used by the Israeli military. This type combines effective fighting styles so that you improve your self-confidence and optimize your body control.

Training is over, the fun continues...

After all the training in the morning, you can treat yourself to a healthy lunch refuelling your energy level. A quick nap or a stroll along the famous beach promenade is the perfect start for the rest of the day. The beautiful sandy beaches Playa del Duque or Playa Torviscas are ideal to spend the afternoon at, sunbath, relax, and just enjoy the sunny weather.

The friendly Scot has been committed to sport, especially various martial arts, for more than 35 years. Among other things, he trained hundreds of athletes, professional athletes, as well as people from the police and the military. Thanks to his background he displays the perfect requirements to look after and motivate you during your bootcamp holiday in Tenerife.
Due to Steve’s various qualifications such as Krav Maga & Kapap (type of self-defence used, among others, by the Israeli military) the training is also extremely diversified. The different courses offered usually last 60 minutes. In general, the intensive courses focus on training units with functional exercises. A trainer is available at all times to support you with the exercises and to correct your postures and movements.
In addition, Steve focuses on long-lasting results, which is why he pursues a holistic concept that focuses on a good mix of fitness, nutrition & fun.

What to expect. Bootcamp, Beach Bootcamp & Krav Maga / Kapap Overview.

Bootcamp
On Tuesday & Thursday the bootcamp classes are held in the gym at Island Village from 07:30 – 08:30 This is high intensity interval training (HIIT) and include fitness circuits, resistance training, endurance training, as well as, elements from kick-boxing / boxing. In general the bootcamps are a great way to kick-start a healthier lifestyle or to get started again for anyone who has done little or no exercise for a while.

These classes are designed in such a way that they are suitable for anyone, regardless of age, weight or physical ability. During the classes you will feel a great sense of camaraderie. The group at the bootcamp are friendly and supportive. No one will ever laugh at you or make you feel uncomfortable. In contrast, the whole group will help motivate you to do the best that you are capable of.

 

Beach Bootcamp
On Monday, Wednesday & Friday we offer you intensive bootcamps at the beach. So enjoy a morning workout from 07:30 – 08:30 on Playa La Pinta and get fit directly on the sea.

These sessions on are mainly made up of body weight exercises, circuits, sprints and shuttle runs. As a highlight of the week, you can look forward to every Friday morning, where a Navy Seal style training is offered including Military style exercises in and out of the water. → Make sure to bring a change of clothes and a towel.

 

Krav Maga
Krav Maga is a self-defence system designed for realistic attacks. It is used by the Israeli Military and Secret Service. Using the strongest and most effective points of many styles of fighting. Consequently, creating a unique and complete system of self-defence. This is also a system that is continually evolving as does the threat of violence in the world we live in.

What kind of training can you expect as part of your course?
The classes that are offered during the Krav Maga courses in Tenerife cover a huge range of violent situations and scenarios. For example:

  • Defence from street attacks (punches, hooks & kicks)
  • Defence from grabs & strangles
  • Movement and defence from attacks on the ground
  • Defending blunt edged weapons e.g. sticks & batons
  • Defence from static knife attacks e.g. robbery
  • Dealing with direct knife attacks – stabs / slashes

Overall, 3 different levels of Krav Maga course / Kapap Training are being offered by Steve Coster & us in Tenerife. This fitness holiday is primarily designed for civilians. However, classes for police and military can also be offered.

CIVILIAN
This is a program designed for everyday people and trains you in case you ever find yourself in a violent or dangerous situation. The aim to give you enough knowledge and skills to get yourself out of danger.

POLICE & SECURITY SERVICES
A more specialized program dealing with more violent scenarios. Therefore, focusing more on control & restraint, disarming and de-escalating a situation.

The Costa Adeje coastline is located in the south-west of the island and is home to many of the best beaches on the Canary Islands. For you, of course, this means 100 % holiday feeling. Relax on one of the many dream beaches such as Playa del Duque and enjoy the year-round warm water temperatures. In particular, the chic Playa del Duque enchants with its soft sand and beautiful clear water. Your flat is located at the Roque del Conde holiday complex (or similar, depending on availability) and is equipped with a bedroom, a living area, a kitchen and a large balcony with sea views. This is only available to you, so you do not have to share it with other travellers. The apartment complex also has a sun terrace, a pool and a pool bar. The highlight of the holiday complex, however, is the amazing view. Enjoy an outstanding sea view and marvel at the beautiful summer sunsets.
In addition, your flat is about 30 minutes' walk from various sandy beaches such as the Puerto Colón. Now, if you are concerned about how to get to the various fitness classes, don't worry! During your entire stay you will always have a contact person who will take you to all the fitness courses on request - whether to the beach or the gym.

Due to the physical nature of the fitness holiday, clients often ask us what kind of results they will see after their stay. This is a difficult question to answer because everyone is different. People have different metabolisms, and ultimately it comes down to how hard you work and how long you stay for. We are confident you will see an improvement, even if you go for a short period of time. Your stay will kickstart you into a healthier and fitter life, giving you a solid foundation on which you can continue your training back home. You will learn all the tools and techniques you need in order to continue to improve.

Can I join the fitness holiday even if I am travelling alone? Yes, of course. Actually, about 70 % of our guests travel by themselves. The island is a very friendly place with lots of open-minded people, so meeting other athletes and fellow travellers is super easy. We encourage you to just take a leap of faith and allow yourself to be surprised by an amazing fitness holiday.  
Do I need to bring anything in particular? We recommend bringing plenty of sportswear. However, laundry service is available, so you can wash your clothes whenever necessary. Also, please bring sunscreen and a hat if you’d like to take part in the beach workouts. Most importantly, don't forget your ID / passport.  
Arrival Date and Travel Duration Minimum travel duration is 6 days / 5 nights. However, you are more than welcome to stay as long as you want - there is no fixed arrival date nor a fixed duration for this fitness holiday. Simply select your preferred arrival and departure date from the booking calendar, and proceed with the booking. *For stays longer than 30 days, check visa regulations if you are not an EU citizen.  
Program For this fitness holiday, there is not a fixed schedule nor a set program. This means that you can lie on the beach all day or take part in as many fitness sessions as you like. If you want to add additional components to your program (e.g. personal training sessions), you can do so during the booking process. You can also add additional services after the booking process is complete. We are very flexible and will assist you with anything you could want.  
Can I do other activities as well? Yes absolutely, one of the reps can help you add on trips locally. While one of our favourite activities is a morning hike to the top of Pico del Teide to catch the sunrise, there are so many more things to do in Tenerife, Spain. You can also visit the Santa Cruz, hike the volcano, go surfing and much more! There are endless possibilities. However, please note that if you want to climb to the top of Mount Teide peak (3715 m), you need to make reservations at least 2-3 months ahead.  
Availability On our booking calendar you will see all the dates we have available in the upcoming months. We make sure to constantly update all availabilities to make the booking process as smooth as possible. In general, if dates are shown as available, we can organize your holiday. However, please note that it is always possible that selected dates could become unavailable due to very dynamic booking procedures. For this reason, we will contact you via email and WhatsApp after your booking to confirm availability. This will take up to 48h. In case we cannot provide your chosen package in combination with a certain room at your requested time, we will offer you an alternative option: either in a comparable room or for a slightly different travel period. Of course, if we cannot provide you with a PERFECT option, you may cancel your trip at any time with no costs. Christmas & New Years Our fitness holidays are available 365 days a year - including Christmas and New Years. Please be aware that Christmas & New Years is the busiest time in Tenerife. So make sure that you book plenty early. We will do our best to assist you. Note that there might be a slight variance regarding the program on some days. For example, on Christmas Day, there will be no training or yoga, but we do make up for it with additional sessions throughout the week. The same is applicable for New Year’s Day.  
Booking Process After your booking, you will immediately receive an email from us summarizing your booking. You don't need to do anything at this moment. In the following days, we will check hotel availability, as well as all other aspects of your tour. After we confirm everything with our partners, we will send you another email to confirm the booking. This email also includes the invoice and a travel insurance paper. You can then easily pay your invoice within 14 days. Multiple payment options are available. If you want to pay for your trip later, just contact us — we will make sure to find a good option for you. Once we have received payment, you will receive another email from us with a confirmation of payment, a booklet including travel information, and more.⇾ At this point you can just look forward to your fitness holiday in Tenerife. *If you have any questions or want to change anything in regard to your holiday, you can always contact your personal travel agent.  
Visa If you are having an EU citizenship, you don't need any visa to travel to Tenerife, Spain. US and UK citizenship allows you to enter Spain for up to 90 days for tourism or business without a visa as Spain is a party to the Schengen Agreement.
